In my older work, all the imagery was derived from doodles. I kept journals of these drawings for over 15 years. Some themes were recurring, hands, heads, bottles, feet, houses. Some were completely unique and startled me as to why they found an outlet through my hand. The only explanation was that these drawings were a way to synthesize information I had been collecting through music, books, films and my dreams. In effect it was a symbolic display for the inner workings of my mind.
