digital detritus

I teach computer imaging classes at Drexel university. My classes are primarily based as learning computer graphics programs as an art making tool. Although I don't make artwork that is strictly based in the digital world, I use these tools as a means to an end.

In these classes, I insist that my students recognize that these tools allow an unprecedented way to experiment with ideas, without having to commit to concepts or destroy an original. In my opinion, playing with these tools is one of the best ways to learn and understand them.
The following gallery contains the results of playing with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
